I know we're all very busy right now, between GOTV, fighting to protect the vote, get 'em counted right, etc. etc.
But for those of us who will desperately need a drink tonight...
And particularly for those who are on the west coast (you don't even have to stay up late!)...

Mid-Term Elections Drinking Game
by DrBathroom
You will need:
-1 shot glass
-A 12 pack of a delightful beer (preferably canned)
-A bottle of your favorite liquor
-If you hope to survive, food and non-alcoholic beverages might be helpful.
Turn the TV to either CNN or MSNBC.
Have internet access for House race coverage.
RULES:
1. Every time an incumbent Republican senator is defeated, take 1 shot of liquor.
2. Every time an incumbent Republican representative is defeated, drink one gulp (a mouthful) of beer.
3. When Democrats take the House of Representatives, take 1 shot of liquor.
4. When the Democrats win a majority of governorships, take 1 shot of liquor.
5. If the Democrats manage to win the Senate, take two shots of liquor.
6. FOR SENATE RACES ONLY: When a Democrat defeats a Republican incumbent, sip your beer according to the margin of victory, where the quantity of sips is equivalent to the margin of victory. (e.g. Whitehouse beats Chafee by 7 points = 7 sips of beer).
7. When a commentator or analyst says "too close to call," sip your beer.
8. When a program displays a chart of the partisan balance in the House and Senate, sip your beer.
9. If any incumbent Democrat loses their seat (House, Senate, or governorship), punish yourself by chugging the rest of your beer.
SIDE NOTES:
-If a race is an open seat (like the Tennessee senate race) that was previously held by a Republican, count it as an incumbent Republican seat. Likewise for Democrat-held open seats.
-The night will be spread out from about 4pm to midnight, so you need not fear dying from alcohol poisoning, though it should be known that I take no responsibility for what you do to your body.

Happy drinking. Between money, energy, time and concern, you have earned it.
