I know that everyone's eyes are on the elections today. Ours definitely are -- especially in
South Dakota where voters are casting their ballots on the abortion ban.
But no matter what happens today, something incredibly important will be happening in Washington, DC tomorrow. In less than 24 hours, Planned Parenthood senior staff attorney, Eve Gartner, will argue Gonzales v. Planned Parenthood before the Supreme Court. This case is Planned Parenthood's challenge to the constitutionality of the
federal abortion ban -- a law that bans pre-viability abortions as early as 12 to 15 weeks in pregnancy, even though doctors say the ban prevents them from providing their patients with the best and safest care. The case is crucial to the future of women's health and safety and of reproductive freedom in America, and Eve has spent months preparing the most compelling arguments against this dangerous and unconstitutional abortion ban. When Eve is finished, she'll record a
podcast on the steps of the Supreme Court to share her reactions and thoughts.
