Senator Smith,
You took an honorable stand on Iraq a few days ago. I thank you for that. It is time to face the natural conclusion that President Bush's actions in Iraq have indeed been criminal and must be investigated as such. It saddens me and appals me that an American president has likely committed high crimes and misdemeanors. President Bush's behavior easily rises to the level that our constitutional framers intended when they made provision to remove the president.
This is your time to rise above the partisan politics of the last 12 years and say enough is enough. It is time for a criminal investigation of the Bush regime. If impeachment is the result so be it. But first we need truth, then you and your senatorial collegues can decide if there is to be reconciliation or retribution.
Thank you,
