I recently found a quaint mom/pop store that sold antique jewelry and all types of gems in an old downtown near my home. These stores are the types of stores I like to support because they offer unique one of a kind merchandise and mom and pop are always more desirable than corporate chains. Upon entering i was greeted by two lovely ladies who were helpful and pleasant. I quickly found a wonderful little broach that my grandma would love for Christmas. The price was right, the store was right, and the owners seemed right. As I prepared to pay, I suddenly heard that dreaded pill popper's voice coming from a little radio behind the counter. I quickly became anxious and told the lady behind the counter that I had to run to my car to get my wallet. I quickly turned around and headed out the door.
My question to all of you out in Kos land was did I do the right thing? All I could picture in my head was this lovely lady behind the counter mailing a check to some right wing repug and it made me sick. Was I over reacting? I don't buy from corporate chains that are evil i.e. walmart, but should it carry over to these ladies who did nothing to offend me other then to have that ego maniac on their radio. Let me know what you think.
