Well, we all know by now that GW likes to control his environment and whoever is in it. His popularity polls are in the toilet, his reality gauge on the war and every single thing he's ever touched or talked about is six-feet under (literally and figurative in the hundreds of thousands), he's going before a DEMOCRATIC MAJORITY HOUSE AND SENATE (YAY!) tomorrow night for his State of the Union Address...
and he's got U.S. Soldiers (goddess bless them all) being harmed and killed by the day in Iraq. And let's not forget the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. He's a liar and a sociopath (we can count on that coming through loud and clear during the SOTU bullshit fest). Hmmmm, I would have to say that he does not have an iota of credible, realistic, genuine, supportive whooping, hollering and standing ovations to look forward to tomorrow evening. Do you?
We know he despises dissent and truth to power, which can be exhibited profoundly by simple body language, a/k/a standing, sitting, clapping, booing, SILENCE!! Ouch!
What are the chances that he and his hateful, evil, manipulative, disingenuous, lying-ass crew will announce at the beginning of the SOTU speech that due to the solemn circumstances in our domestic and foreign affairs, and in respect and honor of our soldiers and allies, that there be no verbal, physical (whether positive or negative) responses during the speech. Wouldn't that be a kicker? He would avoid the cricket "cheep cheep" deathly silence, the raucus applause of dissenters, and the radically reduced sounds of any remaining support. It's just what a coward and narcissistic sociopath would do to avoid honesty, truth and personal growth, although it might be tough to go without the ego boost of anything he could garnish out of even the tiniest positive response.
Hmmm, there are always sound tracks....NAW!!
And yet, perhaps a sincerely compassionate, feeling, mature, thoughtful, honest, and responsible human being would request it out of respect and honor.
Just my thoughts...and so grateful I am not GW.
Oh, and if you would please take a moment today to write to Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senator Harry Reid to emplore them to allow and encourage Senator Jim Webb to make his response speech at the podium before the Joint Chiefs Session just following Dubya's vomitous lie fest, that would be awesome! Good thoughts and positive energy to Senator Webb tomorrow night!
