If fighting is sure to result in victory, then you must fight, even though the ruler forbid it; if fighting will not result is victory, then you must not fight, even at the ruler's bidding. - Sun Tzu
My senior Senator, Lugar, having a senior moment, today showed that he will support the Shrub to the bitter end.
"On This Week, Sen. Richard Lugar (R-IN) had this to say: "I don't believe that it's helpful right now to show there's disarray around the world as well as in our body at home. We really need, at this point, to get on the same page."
To which TPM Reader DC replies: "I guess he hasn't figured out yet that most of us are on the same page: we are done in Iraq, and the disaster there was brought to us by the failed policies of the administration.""

Senator Lugar,
What is your Problem??? It's the Republicans that are on the wrong page regarding the dustbowl wars in the Middle East, the war on drugs, the war on terror, invading the wrong country at the wrong time, spending eight billion dollars a month overseas instead of here.
In case YOU HADN'T NOTICED, people are sick of the way the war has been managed, sick of George W. (the Shrub) Bush, and sick of Republicans being lemmings on the side of Bush and Cheney.
Dammit sir, have you gone senile? We are caught in the middle of a civil war in Iraq, brought about by our incompetence. Twenty thousand troops aren't going to cut it unless we decide to kill EVERYONE. Afghanistan is falling apart again, the Islamists in Iran are working on nukes, North Korea HAS nukes, and the Gulf Coast still hasn't recovered from a hurricane a year and a half ago. Heaven help them if there is another big hurricane season this year. Incompetence, incompetence, INCOMPETENCE has been the call sign of this Administration.
You are "secure" in your seat there in the Senate for now, but maybe it's time to change that.
Bush has to go, and people that are stupid or gullible enough to support him in the government... Maybe it's time for them to go as well.
You don't believe it's helpful to have debate, hmm? I think you should get used to it. If you want to get on a page with everyone else, I suggest you get on our page. Four years ago, I wouldn't have dreamed of being disrespectful to you. Now I don't see how you can sleep at night, let alone respect yourself.

PS - Another quote that you, Senator, and that moron in the White House might have found useful four years ago... "In the practical art of war, the best thing of all is to take the enemy's country whole and intact; to shatter and destroy it is not so good." - Sun Tzu
Maybe you can suggest the Bush "read" a few more books, and stop being an REMF.
