General Casey is in front of the SASC to be confirmed as Chief of Staff of the Army.
Levin has already made him give a pledge to...well, be honest and stuff.
Just a reminder: John McCain was seeking to score points (for himself, of course) by distancing himself from Casey:
"I have very serious concerns about General Casey's nomination," McCain said on NBC's "Meet the Press."
"I'm concerned about failed leadership, the message that sends to the rest of the military," he added.
UPDATE: If you don't have access to a radio or C-SPAN online, please say so; I'm sure someone will relay the juicy questions/comments.
So far:
Chambliss --> nothing big
McCain --> "it wasn't my fault, guys!"
Lieberman --> support GWB
Hillary --> Toughest. Questions. Yet.
Sessions --> Meh.
McCaskill --> "Um, the reconstruction mess?"
Infohe --> This ain't about global warning?
Nelson #1 --> "and if this doesn't work, then...?"
Nelson #2 --> "80% reliable, but only in Iraq"
Grahm --> upset, not yet ready to completely rebel
UPDATE #2: I have to step away now, so I'm taking the "Live" status off. Hopefully someone can make a new thread in case it gets more...lively.
