Many (including kos) have commented on Hillary's refusal to "acknowledge she made a mistake" or apologize. Hillary keeps repeating that "if she had known what she knows now" she would have voted otherwise. Is she talking about newer intelligence? I think not - follow me over the fold.
I think what Hillary means is that if she had known the Iraqis would so successfully fight back and bog down the United States Army, she would have voted otherwise - that is, it is not fresh intelligence that leads Hillary to conclude that the war was wrong;instead it is the discovery that the war is not going good. I think most of America would have been fine if Iraq did not have WMD and yet was "pacified" and submitted to the occupation meekly. The reasons for going to war never mattered - America has the right to slap a small country around to show "we mean business". The inconvenience is that the Iraqis have chosen to fight back.
That p***** me off - that the principle of aggressive war is not rejected by Edwards or Hillary or Obama at all. Edwards and Obama reserve the same right in a war against Iran, don't they?
