Today on "Meet the Press," Tim Russert's roundtable guests for a long discussion of the Iraq War, Bush, the Republican primary, and the Democratic primary were:
David Gregory of NBC (fresh from his backup role for Karl Rove a/k/a "Rove MC")
Chuck Todd of NBC
Judy Woodruff of PBS
Kate O'Beirne of the National Review
This is not a balanced panel.
(More after the jump)
I know, big shock. A lot of Kossacks are by now used this sort of stuff.
But it's still wrong.
O'Beirne is from a far-right journal, and she mouthed Bush talking points throughout. The other three guests work for media organizations that are desperately trying to prove that they are not liberal.
So the conversation was O'Beirne defending Bush, the Iraq War "surge," and Mitt Romney, and attacking Nancy Pelosi--and the other three hewing closely to the center, while occasionally correcting some of her more outrageous statements.
Of course, Russert chimed in with some biased comments of his own, at one point contrasting "Bush critics" with "thoughful people."
Just because it happens week after week doesn't mean we shouldn't be outraged--or complain about it. Here's the contact info:
