The first named storm was formed today off the coast of Georgia, 3 weeks early from the "normal" storm season starting - June 1.
The name of the storm is Andrea. It will make landfall in or around the Daytona Beach area Saturday.

I know that this is a sub-tropical storm, but it shows that the Atlantic is warmer than it has been. These storms form when both warm Atlantic/GOM water/vapor collides with weather fronts. This should not form this time of year.
The weather keeps on baffling me. Spring comes much to early, the planting zones move northward, etc. Folks, we are in a heap of trouble.
