Scrollin' around through the comments of Kos's diary and others has been interesting today to say the least. Seem's some people got their feelings hurt by the honestly truthful analysis of the field. If all you guys get so uptight about the mild opinions voiced about your (early) chosen candidate, wait a few months when the real noise machine gets rolling.
I myself don't have a chosen candidate, I'm not even leaning. For all intents, I'm waiting for the field to develope. Hell I'm just now coming around from Kerry's "loss" and I loathed the guy, but damned if I don't HATE the criminals running the show now. Any one of the Democratic candidates would be better than the current pResident. I worked damned hard in 2004 to evict the tennants of 1600 Penn. Ave in 2004, mostly in the primary for Dean. Even after Kerry won, I still registered voters.
I know what it's like to passionatly support a cadidate, but lets keep in mind we all (or not) have to get behind the nominee because any of them is better than any of the old rich white men that would be the rethug nominee.
If anyone had a problem with Kos's evalument of the current dem field needs to take a deep breath, these were all valid assesments. I hate to say it, but damned Hilldog did do a good job in the last debate, and I lean away from Hillary, in any direction. A $400 haircut charged to donors, whether or not repaid, is a serious PR fuck up for someone to make, shouldn't have happened. And if you wish to start a movement, you must lead, and I'm not convinced I see any real leadership from that movement yet. One of the main problems of being very passionate about your candidate is refusing to see flaws and faults that other's no doubtedly will. The other is to dispairage candidates not of your choice. Both of these are detriments to our party and our cause, especially this early. So everyone calm down, take a breath, and remember that dem cadidate you flame would be better than Bush, a heckuvalot. And there's gonna be alot of not nice things said about your candidate, some warranted most not, it's called vetting. So everyone keep your powder dry for a few months, remember the big picture, and get strong.
