In a comment posted to his own thread, Rep Earl Blumenauer made an error when he said, "No One is Above the Law."
With all due respect to Rep. Blumenauer, I'm a pragmatic kind of guy who judges reality based on empirical observations, and I'd submit that the is no practical difference between a person who is exempt from the law, and a person who is required to follow a law which is never enforced.
Yes, there's a philosophical difference, but who cares about nuance where the rubber meets the road?
As I look around me, I see precious little effort to investigate, much less enforce, breaches of the law by the President and the Vice President -- So much so that half the damn country seems to be saying, "There was no underlying lawbreaking here," even though there clearly was. How can Re. Blumenauer claim that this Administration isn't above the law?
Is Congress going to pick up from where Fitzgerald left off? Will we see any impeachments come out of this? Because that's about where we're at now, right?
