So, I just walked out of the YK2 debate, which on the whole was wonderful. Many thanks to the hard work & effort by all--I mean that. But honestly guys, where was the question about global warming? Why were energy & the climate not addressed? I know that everyone has/her own pet issue, but if global warming cannot be squeezed into a 90 minute debate by the netroots, the planet is in serious trouble.
The global warming panel this morning pleaded for further engagement and passion about this issue by the blogosphere: they are right. Like it or not, we are not spending enough time blogging about what is perhaps the most critical issue of our time. While today's Presidential debate may well have represented the maturation of the blogosphere, we remain woefully behind on the issue of climate change if it was not worthy of inquiry at the Yearly Kos Presidential debate. I know that time was limited, but the issue of global warming should have been a mandatory inclusion in today's debate.
