A couple of days ago I wrote a diary about ITunes scamming me $150. Many of you dismissed my little rant by telling me I should just use the system available to contact credit card companies and my bank and get them all to replace my stolen money. I thought then as I do now....WTF!
Apple has found a way to scam you all with pieces of crap computers made in China that cost upwards to three times that of a PC. They work half the time when they are first lauched and bugs worked out of the lifetime of the model. An operating system that can make any of you pull your friggin hair out. Then they lauch a silly little IPod that you'all go nuts over and price dearly for when other manufacturers have as good if not better designs for much less. And now the IPhone....oh well...it's your money.
But back to my last diary. That was my friggin money which I didn't feel was my banks fault. It was a debit Visa card and not Visa's fault either. This deed was the fault of Apple and Itunes.
To all of you who simply accept corporate theft and mis-deeds and mistakes and go back on your local banks to cover the loss. SHame on ya all! You have fallin prey to good old corporate ways of doing it.
What about making the entity who made the mistake or did the deed correct it?
Well....I did, Thanks very much!
No thanks to some of you and many thanks to those who are concerned for us little guys. I made Apple search and find their mistake or whatever and give my friggin money back to my checking account. I didn't expect my bank or Visa to absorb a loss while Apple gets off free and kept the money as they has first planned to do. I held the accountable to me an ITunes subscriber and to their responsibility to protect my money and my account information.
This was their initial response!!
Dear ,
I am sorry to learn of your concern about what may be unauthorized charges to your credit card for iTunes Store transactions, and I regret to inform you that the iTunes Store cannot reverse those charges. I urge you to contact your bank or credit card company as soon as possible to inquire about canceling the card and removing the unauthorized transactions.
If you suspect that your credit card is being used fraudulently for iTunes Store purchases, I strongly recommend you change your account password immediately. To increase the security of your account, I recommend that your new account password be eight characters—including letters and numbers. You can change your password using this website:
This is what they finally did!!!
Dear .....,
We were finally able to locate the account these fraudulent purchases were made on. The purchases were made in ..... name on a card issued to DUH ...... After a brief phone conversation with ...., I understand you have cancelled this credit card. Double DUH!
The credit card these purchases were made on has been refunded. Since this credit card has been cancelled Triple DUH you may need to contact your bank to see how they will be treating the refund. I did and they made immediate transfer into my checking account. Good local banks can do anything...
Please feel free to reply to this email with any questions, concerns or if you require further assistance.
So....to those who though it was not right to post this.....I feel like your single minded. We need to help one another. We need to keep everyone informed. Activism is in every part of our lives when we see and are victims of wrong-doing.
No....I don't think Apple stole from me on purpose. But their first attempt to brush me off....allow my bank account to remain dry for a long period and checks to bounce because of their actions and inactions just dosen't cut it with little ole me.
I may be a poor man. But right is right and wrong is wrong. I do not and will not accept anything less from any entity in my lifetime on Earth. Why should we?
