About five years ago ago, a group of "business" people got together to market a product. The knew it was an extremely deadly product. It was designed to be deadly. Intentionally so.
The purpose of this product? To make money. Lots of money. Money for their pals.
You might say..."hey dummy, all products are made to make money, heck that's the point!!"
But see...you'd be wrong. Most products have a function for the buyer, and in providing that function the business person makes money. A car is good for transportation. Food is good for nourishment.
But this product...it wasn't meant to give the consumer anything. It's sole intent was to make money.
It was sold as something that would make us "safer." It didn't.
It was sold as something that would help a poorbackward country. But it instead brutalized and further impoverishedthem.
Many smart people warnedme. But I bought the product anyway. Impulse shopping is a disease I share with many of my people.
But now I feel real bad. This product has killed a million people. About .37% of the dead are actually fellow consumers of this product.
The CEO of this corrupt company will hopefully retire next year. Many of his cohortshave left. The next CEOshould withdraw it from the market. But the consumers are going to keep paying or this product for decadesto come.
Next month we will be toldthat Version 1.0 isn't so bad anymore. We will be told we desperately need version 2.0 right away. Even before the next CEO is selected.
September, apparently, is the month that you roll out new products.
Please, please, pleeeeasewrite as many physical dead-tree letters as possible to your congress person, senators, and your local newspaper. Ask everyone you know to write. We don't want to buy any more garbage.
