Amazingly, he's on our side with some timely advice to Democrats and a caveat for Barack the Rock.
"Joe" noticed something Senator Obama said on the Today Show, misinterpreted it completely (although I understand why), and posts a video response on Youtube.
He then goes on to give what I think is a perfect rant with impeccable Joe Six Pack style.
(I've never linked to Youtube before so I'm hoping I got this right.)
Look past the slouched-on-the-couch posture and the hairy knees and hear what snafu420247, the embodiment of my vision of Joe Six Pack, has to say.
First, the Obama video. My "Joe" takes exception to the part about 40 seconds into the clip where Barack is listing the few positives of the surge.
Senator Obama talks about reduced violence in Anbar Province and goes on to say the violence in Baghdad is down basically because of ethnic cleansing. This is followed by Barack saying,"Those are all positive things."
"Joe" took exception to Barack apparently claiming ethnic cleansing is a good thing and posted his own video. I saw "Joe's" video response below the Today Show clip and just had to take a peek. I was thinking it should be good for a laugh.
"Joe" gets it wrong, really wrong, when he thinks Senator Obama is praising ethnic cleansing rather than small reductions in mayhem.
But then "Joe" goes on to prove his heart is in the right place. I think he deserves some credit, a hearty "Thanks!" for his general sentiments, and a kind and gentle heads up pointing out his boo boo, for which I forgive him completely. I am a little ashamed of myself for letting my bias out of the bag based on the first impression I got from the way "Joe's" video begins. I thought for sure it would be another lame example of "rethuglican think". Mea culpa.
Hell's bell's, at least this man cares enough to speak up!
