Hi,
When I heard Boehner say "It's a small price to pay" I suddenly had the Disney song "It's a small world after all" running through my head. So I rewrote it. In some way, it's appropriate to use "It's a small world" because it reminds you that we all know so many families that have paid a heavy price. It is a small world. Boehner needs to be reminded that for many "It's not a small price" but a life changing burden.
I don't claim to be a Woody or Joe Hill so feel free to add or edit it.
it's a world of widows, a world of widowers,
its a world of orphans, its a world of tears
there's so little Boehner share's
and its time he's made aware
for the families its a heavy price to pay
CHORUS:
"It's a small price to pay"
None of his children are in harm's way
None of his family receive combat pay
It's a small price for the congressman
There's a folded flag and golden star
And another major and priest at the door.
three volley salute
Missing Man in the troop
Boehner, it's a heavy price to pay
