We all know "The Surge" is working. Working so well that we are going to "end" it. Never mind "the Surge" is ending because there is no way to continue it. Forget about all the facts because the Administration said so. Lets juts pretend they are all right and we are all wrong.
So if "The Surge" is working and "Breathing Space" has been created so much so that lots and lots of troop will be "home before Christmas" then another 1000 here or there should have no impact right? I mean, if we can send people home in November/December, it must be because things are all happiness and noodle salad right? Think again..............

Prime Minister Nouri Maliki demanded Wednesday that the embassy find a replacement for Blackwater USA and that the North Carolina-based company's activities in Iraq be frozen after Blackwater guards were involved in the lethal shooting Sept. 16 in Baghdad. U.S. officials asked him to wait for the results of a joint investigation.
A spokesman for Iraqi security efforts in the capital acknowledged Sunday that Blackwater was one of the main companies protecting foreign embassies and said it was not feasible to expel the firm, which has about 1,000 employees in Iraq.
"If we drive out this company immediately, there will be a security vacuum that would force us to pull troops out of the field to protect these institutes," Tahseen Sheikhly said. "That would cause a big imbalance in the security situation."
So let me get this right. "The Surge" has been soooooo awesome that we cant move 1000 troops off what they are doing now to take over missions from criminals. Lets put it another way - We cannot execute US foreign policy without a private army that we have no control over. Im not talking about moving logistics functions to KBR or having Booze Allen do intelligence work, I am talking trigger pullers in a foreign land.
Where is the outcry from the "Foreign Policy Party?" Where are the "adults" who were going to restore leadership? Where is the "help" candidates from one party promised was "on the way" in 2000. Imagine if President Clinton, criticized to death over readiness of units returning from Bosnia, had put the military in the situation where 1000 the lack of men caused failure. For the want of a nail, a nation lost.
Success MY ASS!!!
