It will never come to light unless
If the complicity of the telecommunication industry in illegal activity suborned by an official entity is indeed found to be the case, it will never come to light unless the immunity provisions now proposed are defeated, as since all these activities by the telecoms who cooperated without due process are in direct violation of every user and carriage aggreement they have and are also guilty of violating the laws governing hardwire communications and privacy guaranteed in statute if they indeed were part of what turns out to be an illegal program, and such illegal behavior could be assured to be easily suborned in future from any private entity governed by statute or not, which may be trusted with any manner of service or information, by any official body; if it in real terms is allowed to pass without consequence, if also it turns out there was illegal activity involved in the matter, so unless we wish to see the wink and the nod to replace force of law....
But maybe I've missed something and am way off base.
