Um, I think it was my turn to do WFD? tonight. Unfortunately, I forgot.
Blame it on massive piles of grading everywhere, meetings I've never even heard of, a number of exciting yet unexpected and time-consuming events, a new puppy, a still broken waterline and general malaise and desire for ::oh dear Whatever Beings Might Govern The General Scheme of Things:: a freakin' break.
On a positive note, there's the wonderful pears someone sent me which go perfectly with my favorite treat, local goat cheese.
And, of course, the lovely new puppy, a gorgeous little redbone coonhound mix.
And then ... then there's the puppy teething which has resulted in all kinds of things being eaten, including an ancient yardstick I was extremely proud of because my parents had gotten it when they first got married. Oh, and a beautiful and very old Kilim rug. Oh well. I like her more than those things anyway.
And there's going on how many weeks now? of eating lunch at my desk interspersed with mad dashes down the hall to run down the stairs and back up again in order to avoid something, I'm not even sure what anymore.
And I have no idea what dinner will be tonight. I just had a pear and some cheese, and there is a buffalo tip roast cooking. And I have some gorgeous lettuces and, of course, anchovies ::drool::
But very little energy to fix them.
Therefore: this is a WFD? open thread.
