Let me start with this
"If I do what you all want me to do, I'll look great for the next couple months," she said, according to one insider's account. "But what if I'm the nominee? I'll be ripped apart by the Republicans. And what if I'm the president? My hands will be tied."
What about what you want Hillary? Is so hard to see why you are the least trusted of the Democratic candidates?
Do you really think that by disparaging what we want is the best way to go?
Your capitulation is not only a slap in the face of a much needed progressive movement but a slap in the face of what a majority of Americans want which is Change!
I want a leader who believes in what's right not what is politically expedient. I want a leader who will take a stand on what's is right and be able to explain his or her position in a sincere and thoughtful way.
And what good is capitulating when...
Beyond that, Sen. Clinton views her campaign as a template for her possible presidency. Having witnessed Bill Clinton's early struggles reconciling campaign promises with governing -- and guided by his private advice now -- she knows first hand that what candidates say now for political points can haunt them as president. Close advisers call this caution her "responsibility gene."
Without a doubt a Clinton presidency will be no different than a Clinton campaign. Regardless of whether she continues to capitulate or not her hands will always be tied. Anything that remotely resembles a progressive move will be met with fierce opposition from the Right. At best she will "Meet them half-way". To me that is simply spinning the tires in the mud.
I'm so sick of the "Good Cop-Bad Cop" politics that have kept Americans divided throughout the Bush-Clinton years. I want change not capitulation.
