The news this weekend started pouring in. I wonder how Mr. Gore is able to keep this pace doing all of this work, when I don't even seem to have time to read and post it all.
As Mr. Gore was headed over to Great Britian this past week to partake in several talks, forums, conferences and meetings, articles are being written calling for the our best hope to run.
And Then, There's Al Gore
When you really think about the crop of Democratic candidates for president, it's clear that their best hope to win in 2008, is not even on the playing field. That current, non-candidate is Al Gore. He's the only one who can match the experience, accomplishments and gravitas of Rudy Giuliani and yet, the left ignores him.
And then, there's Al Gore.
He served in the House of Representatives for eight years, followed by eight years as a U.S. senator, followed by eight years as Vice President of the United States. In 2000, as the Democratic nominee for president, he won the popular vote by a plurality. Oh yeah, in 2007, he also won an Academy Award and the Nobel Peace Prize.
Seems to me, his resume is more formidable than the top three current democratic candidates combined.
But the Democrats wouldn't know gravitas if it hit them over the head, so infatuated are they with the style of their candidates over their substance.
And while covering the great news coming out from London, also came the report that the Presidential Forum Mr. Gore is working on has a set date of December 19.
Arnold/Gore Summit on Dec. 19th
The Al Gore/Arnold Schwarzneggar global warming conference will be held on December 19th.
The conference will also be hosted by Senator John McCain.
We're awaiting more details, but at least we have a date.
Mr. Gore arrived in London to unveil a new technology that has been kept a secret, until this popular dinner that was held.
Global Warming Breakthrough?
Gore to Unveil Revolutionary New Technology
By Dan Shapley
A new climate-saving energy source made possible by a revolutionary scientific breakthrough "super material" will be unveiled tonight.

and here:
The rich, famous and influential prepare to hear the secret to climate-safe energy
A discovery that could give the world access to vast quantities of energy with minimal damage to the climate will be shown off for the first time at a glittering gathering of the famous, rich and influential next Friday night.
Al Gore is to be the star turn at a dinner where guests have paid at least £1,000 a head, and some will have parted with £50,000 for their share of the Aberdeen Angus steak and pink champagne, under the high ornate ceilings of London's Royal Courts of Justice.
They are hoping that the showcase dinner will knock years off the time it can take for industry to see the mass marketing potential of a new discovery. And the one that will be shown to Mr Gore and fellow guests is highly marketable and could revolutionise the market in clean technology, according to the founder of the British Inventors' Society, Kane Kramer.
Mr Kramer, who was 23 in 1979 when he conceptualised the technology that led to the creation of the first MP3 player, refused to give specific details of the new discovery, or to name the inventor, so as to maintain the element of surprise for Friday. But he indicated that it is a breakthrough in micro-technology, and that British scientists who have tested it are convinced that it will work.
"This is something ... that's the accumulation of almost a decade of work," he said. "It's a new science, a Super Material. It would be 80 per cent cheaper than any alternative means of production, and it will contribute in a major way to reducing climate change.
"I like it because it's kind of lateral. It will make possible things that weren't possible before. We have put it through severe 'due diligence', with quite a team of people, not just in the UK, and we're completely 100 per cent sure that this is the way forward."

Gore praises UK's leader for his battle against global warming
The Associated Press
Published: November 30, 2007
LONDON: Al Gore on Friday night praised Prime Minister Gordon Brown for his role in the battle against global warming.
"I'm grateful for his leadership on the issues," the former U.S. vice president said during the keynote speech at the Fortune Forum Summit, an annual event that gathers politicians, entrepreneurs, philanthropists and celebrity activists to support the work of major charities.
"I wish that was the case in my own country," the Nobel Peace Prize winner told the audience at London's Royal Court of Justice.
It included public figures such as musicians Bob Geldof and Damien Rice, actresses Daryl Hannah and Jerry Hall, and English TV presenter David Frost.
The event opened with a video message from Brown, which called Gore an "inspiration" regarding the debate over climate change.

Brown said, "All of us must accept our share of responsibilities and work together to change. ... We must act now."

Then Mr. Gore moved over to Ireland, where he continued his meetings and conferences with some leaders on climate change.
Greens welcome Gore's visit to Ireland
Issued: 02 December 2007
Former vice president has helped awaken public conscience on climate change
The Green Party has welcomed former US vice president Al Gore's visit to Ireland, and praised his role in awakening the public to the realities and challenges of climate change. Vice President Gore addressed the Merrion | Landsbanki Energy and the Environment Conference at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, a conference at which Green Party Energy Minister Eamon Ryan also spoke.
Following Vice-President Gore's address, the Green Party Leader and Environment Minister John Gormley TD said: "Al Gore has done much to awaken and enhance public awareness and understanding of the realties of climate change. He is a deserved co-recipient of this year's Nobel Peace Prize and has long worked to publicise an issue which most people now accept is the greatest challenge facing humanity. His solutions-based approach to climate change has been an inspiration to policy-makers across the globe, and I hope that at the UNFCC talks in Bali next week the world's leaders will sign up to a common approach on how to further reduce greenhouse gas emissions. From Ireland's perspective I intend to push for the most ambitious agreement possible to cover the period following the expiration of the Kyoto Protocol in 2012. I hope that Ireland can meet, and even exceed, its Kyoto commitments and become an example for the rest of the world over the next decade."

And he also said that nuclear power was entirely ruled out as a solution for Ireland.

Gore Beats Bush as Bali Talks Embrace Nobel Winner's Agenda
By Kim Chipman, Mathew Carr and Alex Morales
Dec. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Seven years after he lost the U.S. election, Al Gore has more influence on U.S. global warming policy than the man who defeated him, President George W. Bush.
As talks on a new world emissions treaty open today on the Indonesian island of Bali, companies and investors such as General Electric Co., Chevron Corp. and Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. are backing Gore's push for global limits on climate- changing carbon emissions, a strategy Bush opposes.

And thank you hannahhlk for pointing out the added UPDATE
It seems it must be top notch secret, because Mr. Gore didn't unveil it there. I guess we have to stay tuned.
