There once was a boy named Ronnie. Ronnie had a very nice house on a hill and lots and lots of toys. In fact, Ronnie had more toys than all the other boys he knew, so he decided to take the deep and serious philosophical position that sharing is economically and morally wrong.
"Sharing is economically and morally wrong" he would say, as he refused to share even the smallest of his toys with any other boys.
He was annoyed at those boys who came to him and asked to borrow a football or a doll; so he thought that the boys in the block who had little or no toys were lazy and immoral. "Having no toys is lazy and immoral", he would say.
Since Ronnie was the only boy who had a lot of toys and who did not share them, and since he was very consistent in his beliefs, he came to realize that he was the only Moral kid in the block. He therefore started bothering and fighting other boys, specially the smaller, more defenseless ones.
"I am the only Moral person here" he would say, "it is moral and right that I fight you and bother you".
One day, Ronnie found a tiny monster with very sharp teeth. He named it Jerry. He liked to have Jerry around and fed him rats and snakes every day. Every day, Jerry would get a little bigger and a little meaner.
Ronnie was glad that Jerry was bigger and meaner. He went around the neighborhood with Jerry on a leash. "Sharing is economically and morally wrong" he would say, as he made children who were sharing among themselves run away, afraid of Jerry, the pet monster.
"Having no toys is lazy and immoral" he would say as he took the headless barbie and the old deflated basketball from the little children who didn't have any more toys. Jerry, the pet monster, made sure they did not fight back.
Every day, Jerry, the pet monster, grew larger and meaner. Ronnie always fed it as many rats and snakes as it would eat, and smiled with glee as he saw the rabid foam that dripped from Jerry's fangs.
"I am the only Moral person here; it is moral and right that I fight you and bother you" said Ronnie every time he hit a little boy or girl upside the head, with Jerry as protection. Soon, all the children were calling Ronnie names. Some called him a dick, others a chimp, others a global asshole. One boy even threw two stones at him, which hurt.
Ronnie, in his infinite philosophical wisdom, decided that the other children hated him because he was so moral and had so many toys. "Other children hate me because I am so moral and have so many toys" he said, and he decided he needed Jerry to be even bigger and meaner.
So he fed Jerry rats and snakes and scorpions and liquid bigotry and hate, until Jerry got so big and menancing that even Ronnie was a little scared of him.
And Jerry got bigger and bigger and meaner and meaner and one day Jerry ate Ronnnie and belched a righteous christian belch.
