She was heading to bed on Christmas Eve with her new baby in her arms, as she reached her doorway she stopped and said no!, turning around she slid her chair next to the tree and placed the baby in the chair carefully covering her with a small blanket.
She then again headed to bed. I asked if she was going to take the baby to bed and she replied NO!.
She lives with her father and his girlfriend, they don't work, have no money and don't celebrate Christmas, so no tree or decorations are allowed. She sleeps on a small mattress on the floor of a very small room with her clothes in a pile on the floor beside her. She is more comfortable when she visits her mother, she has a nice room with a bed and a bureau for her clothes. They have a small tree with two or three small presents beneath it.
I picked her up on Christmas Eve and after visiting friends and receiving her presents we continued to her mothers. She lovingly cooed and sang to her new baby most of the afternoon.
As she was getting ready for bed she decided the baby would sleep with her for the night and she would sleep in her new crib on Christmas.

She turned to me and said that she wanted Santa to see that she had a new baby and that if he had one for her he could give it to another little girl that wanted one.
This precious child is three years old!!
This is my first diary and I hope that she has brought a smile and a warmth to your heart as she has done to mine.
