Yesterday's great image recap by

Phighting Back with Photoshop showed how the prowess of bloggers using photoshop.
But the new trend is bloggers using full multimedia. While this is initially creating some tension in the community as great posts are being rewarded with bandwidth overcharge bills, it is a trend that provides a great opportunity for individuals to amplify their voice in our post-modern political world.
In the last two days there have been two important examples of this, each showing a different aspect of this potential.
The great blog
Crooks and Liars has been leading the charge of the video blogger.
Yesterday, Crooks and Liars published a video recap of the Jeff Gannon scandal. The Gannon scandal has an interesting dynamic of a quickly breaking event that has largely occured under the radar screen. For unfortunate reasons, the Gannon scandal has not resulted in the type of full media frenzy necessary for everyone to understand the details of the scandal. But investing 15 minutes in the Crooks and Liars video allows a broader look at how the scandal has been covered -- and more importantly realize which media outlets were not included for lack of coverage.
Today, MyDD broke the video of College Republicans chanting "hey-hey, ho-ho, Social Security has got to go!". I think the implications of this video were made clear yesterday.

This is a great trend that allows us to leverage our voice. It should be encouraged.
