Did I miss a deification ritual? Because if I had known I would have totally shown up. I never miss an opportunity to create a god while dancing around a bonfire, naked and drinking ram's blood.
Although usually I drink Guinness instead because ram's blood gives me hives.
The best part of all is when kos was attacking and criticizing OTHER Democrats, there wasn't a freakin' peep out of these delicate kossacks.
Not a word.
But oh, sweet Jesus on the mountain tops, if you dare criticize their Golden Child Candidate then heaven help you, you must have been sent from the devil!
It's a joke.
All of our candidates are better than any of the Republican ones. I will vote for whoever wins our primary with a smile on my face.
None of our candidates are perfect. They all make mistakes, have made mistakes, and will make more mistakes. Pointing this out isn't a declaration of war. Criticizing bone-headed moves and words made and said by candidates shouldn't make your world fly into a tail-spin, and if it does then you have bigger problems you should get sorted out before you allow something posted on the internet to give you such consternation.
Kos is not our leader. He is not our voice, and his opinions are not sacred words delivered unto us, the unwashed masses, as if God Himself set a bush on fire and talked through it.
You know what jackasses think kos's words are the official stances of the Daily Kos community?
Coulter. O'Reilly. Malkin.
Morons like that.
Whenever any of them says that, we all rightly snort and scoff. We know that's not the case. We know that we are all independently minded, that we don't take kos's words as gospel. That's not who we are, and that's certainly not what kos demands of us or asks of us.
But for some reason, when he criticizes one of the Holy Candidates, suddenly people are stricken with Stupidity and assume that people will somehow take kos's word as truth, will somehow assume that everyone on Daily Kos agrees with him.
It's sad.
And we should be smarter than that.
Kos's words are his and his alone. When he makes a mistake, he owns up to it. When people challenge his opinions, he responds. He doesn't trot out some sort of "I am your leader" meme, he debates and defends his positions, just like we all do.
We don't sit here, idle and empty, waiting for kos to fill our heads with opinions and thoughts.
Repeat after me, oh trembling, wilting and frail kossacks who are ever so concerned about kos's words and posts:
Kos.
Is.
Not.
A.
God.
The end.
