Snide but I think somewhat deserved post on BradBlog.com about resistance by many on this site to doing a recount in New Hampshire.
Daily Kos Readers Reject Daily Kos Founder, Front-Page Diarists, According to Online Reader Poll
Meanwhile...Over at The Daily Kos, the world's largest and most powerful supposedly-Progressive blog, its founder and its front-page diarists would seem to be as out of touch with their own readership as the Democratic Party seems to be with their constituency, if the results from the following online poll running over there today (results as of 3:00pm PT today), offers any indication...
The poll had 86% of respondents supporting the recount.
I find his comment as follows a tad over the top, I don't recall any threats of banishment, but I do seem to recall being called a 'Lunatic' for suggesting that maybe verifying whether our elections were really being handled accurately with integrity.
Kos and his designated lead authors threatened readers with permanent banishment for discussing the serious concerns about "faith-based" elections, such as the one that took place last week in New Hampshire.
Meanwhile, in the most recent post on the site, it appears that some precincts recounts are showing very large discrepancies in total votes per candidate counted and original reports. Here again, it is not a question of whether the results of the election necessarily would change, but how can one justify trust in a system that is off 40-50 votes for each candidate in just one ward where the total vote is only 1,300 or so?

Oh, well. At least we won't have to worry about this problem in South Carolina, according to AlternetOrg article on the recount.
Ironically, in New Hampshire the problems of electronic voting can be seen and tracked because there is a paper audit trail. In the upcoming South Carolina primary, where the state uses paperless electronic voting systems, there will be no independent audit trail to verify the vote.
