Dear John,
After watching the democratic debate last night, it becomes obvious that neither candidate is going to place poverty at the forefront of the national political dialogue (even after both candidates pledged to you to do so).
As for workers rights, the frontrunner sat on the corporate board of the most anti-union company in America (Wal-Mart)and Obama scarsely uses the word "union".
That being said, this entire campaign is about CHANGE. Senator Obama's vision for a better America has united a broad coalition that inspires the youth of this nation to take action as never before. His appeal to independants and young people highlight his potential to achieve progressive goals in the White House. I fear that a Clinton administration will take us back to the days of NAFTA and welfare reform while ignoring the plight of the working class. Her continued use of lobbyist and pac money are a smack in the face to everything that you fought for in this campaign.
As a fervant Edwards supporter, I knocked on doors and made phone calls in Iowa because i believe in your message. My family gave money to your campaign that we really could not afford because we believed that you would give a voice to the underdog.
Im sincerely asking to you to endorse Senator Obama. Waiting till after super tuesday is the politically smart thing to do. However, Im asking you to take a stand and endorse him BEFORE super tuesday so that your supporters may hear your appeal and vote for change.
Sincerely,
an Edwards supporter who will vote for Obama
