I just wanted to post this video of Michelle Obama being interviewed by Soledad O'Brien on CNN earlier today.
MO: But it's also honest... Most Americans don't opt into this.
That's one thing that drives my desire and support for an Obama presidency. Honesty. We've lost the basic trust in government, and Barack and his campaign are trying to bring it back.
MO: It is politics as a game. As a sport... But that's the way it works. And one of the things that we try to do is stay focused on not doing that. Because if you want to change it, you can't become a part of it.
Says almost everything that this campaign stands for.
SO: But alot of times your job helps define who you are. MO: But is doesn't for me. What I do in my life defines me.
And can I also just say... That if Barack were to be elected President... The day that Michelle decides to let her hair out natural (not straightened) will be a proud day. To see a strong Afrocentric women, such as Michelle, in the White House I could only make the analogy to the way women looked up to Jackie Kennedy when she was in the white house. They felt like they could relate to her. They looked to her for guidance. I'm only 26 (and male) so I'm only working off of what I've been told and read... But if women are looking for a female role model. I think that Michelle Obama is the exact person who you would hope for your daughter to emulate.
