Just a quick one to point out the obivious to the oblivious, which seems to be necessary so much more often these days.
Al Sharpton, in his zeal to get his own annointed candidate the Democratic nomination is doing his level best to assure that very same candidate has virtually no chance to win in November.
Yep, political lightweight that he is, Al doesn't realize he is doing more for the McCain cause than Mitt Romney's endorsement.
What am I talking about?
It's Florida, stupid... to take a page from 1992.
Florida voters are pissed.
Actually Florida Democratic voters are pissed... not the Republicans... because the Republican Party did not disenfranchise them.
Florida Democrats will not blame their elected officials for this... maybe a little bit, but the real rage will be directed against the DNC.
It won't take much here at all. Just a percentage point or two, swinging to McCain, or staying home and the Rethugs win.
Without Florida, it is unlikely that we can capture the White House. Very, very, unlikely.
And now, just this week, Al Sharpton himself has put the final nail into Barack Obama's White House aspiratitions.
Al Sharpton has made Florida, and their delegates...
All about Barack Obama.
Al has made it clear that Barack Obama, and Obamanation is firmly dedicated to keeping Florida disenfranchised, where Hillary Clinton and her people are working hard to restore to Florida what is rightfully theirs. And they are keeping this at the top of the news cycle, when it would have been better to let it fade...
I really don't give a flying fuck about a debate on right or wrong, or whose fault the loss of delegates is...
Because it doesn't fucking matter what people in Iowa, or Illinois, or New York, or California think about it.
They don't vote in Florida.
Those that do, are going to give Florida to the Republicans.
Most of us here will fight the good fight, work the phones, canvass, and the like... but we will be doing it in a losing cause. Because all it will take is 1 or 2% and the Rethugs win. The Republicans, like the good little robots they are, will hold their nose and vote for McCain... because his name isn't Clinton or Obama.
But the Democrats have never been "good little soldiers".
For just a few to hold a grudge against the DNC will cost us the election, and possibly the downticket too. At this point, even if Hillary can get Florida votes counted, and if she wins the nomination... it may very well be too late. The damage is done. This will be a huge campaign point for the Rethugs in Florida come the general election... "The Democrats don't care, hell they wouldn't even count your vote" We will be hearing that a whole bunch down here, very soon.
The few percent of Florida Democrats who will let their hostility to the DNC outweigh their common sense have a very clear and convenient target now, in one Barack Obama...

What an asshole.
