The Obama campaign has just announced that their goal is 1,000,000 donors by March 4. That is, just to give you some numbers, 1 out of every 300 people in the United States. That is one out of every 160 Democrats. And that is, incidentally, more than twice the population of Wyoming.
Since the beginning of his campaign, Barack Obama has had amazing fundraising numbers. Of the 36 Million (previously 32) that he raised in January, over 90% of that is donations under 100$. Another 40 percent of those (around 34% of the total) are donations under 25$. That's pretty impressive. Right now, according to his campaign, he has gotten 910, 370 people. Wow.
His homepage currently has a counter for the people who have donated. This link gets you directly to his donation page.
Update: He has now gotten 921, 298 donors. That's about three new donors each second since I first posted this.
