The stock market is looking forward to a Hillary or McCain WH in particular as far as Healthcare Industry stocks are concerned. Komal Sri-Kumar, chief global strategist at TCW Group, a subsidiary of the French bank Société Générale
..."conceded that he may not have to worry all that much if Clinton were to win because what she wants might far exceed what she could achieve. That was clear a decade and a half ago when she tried to restructure the health care system on behalf of her husband, President Bill Clinton, and achieved very little."
I had been wondering if I was the only one who can see as clear as day that Clinton's promises of universal healthcare are disingenuous quite simply because of the lack of the political will due to the losses for the healthcare industry that such a plan would entail

Kumar goes on to add that
"If she is elected, she will be forced to moderate all of her plans," Sri-Kumar said. Private companies will continue to provide medical care and insurance, and so "the market is going to be a disciplining device."
That is why Barack's healthcare plan is the only realistic plan that does not involve trying to fool the American people with yet more promises of the unachievable.
Considering that as far as HRC is concerned, the only states that matter are NY and CA, and I think Ohio is about to join TX in the not mattering column, then she would certainly not even begin to be able to muster anything close to the bipartisan support that such ambitious healthcare reform would entail.
That is precisely why, the 50 State strategy of Obama is what we need, where 50 states matter and the whole nation matters. That is why the bi-partisan goodwill that Obama is able to inspire matters, and is indeed the only way forward. That is why a healthcare system that makes it more attractive for all people to pursue a government insurance plan is the only way that more people can be covered, but it has to be gradual. There is not only political and industry opposition to universal healthcare, but most Americans are also skeptical of "so-called" socialized medicine, due to a right wing imposed fear of all things government, even as the repugs run for office and fight so hard to keep it. You would think that for a party that holds the belief that government is so evil, they would just turn all positions of power over to their opponents on the Dem side?!
