My parents live in Dayton, Ohio and have been innundated with advertising, appearances and now, beginning today, phone calls from both campaigns. She called me today and told me she received a call this afternoon from a male voice identifying themselves with the Clinton campaign. My mother politely told them that she and my Dad are supporting Obama. The caller then proceeded to challenge this by suggesting that Obama was lacking in experience and depth as a candidate. To her credit, my Mother would have none of it and called out the caller on these assertions. Becoming upset at such counter-claims, the caller shouted, "you're crazy!" and hung up the phone. More shocked than annoyed, my Mother thought it was a rather odd way to win over a voter. To me, it wreaks of desperation and frustration. The caller really shouldn't have bothered, in any event, for my parents had taken advantage of Ohio's early voting and proudly cast their votes.....for Obama.
