Sorry to my friends who are committed fans of Senator Clinton, but how can anyone deny that she will in fact "say anything," to get elected? And don't you kinda have to suspect that she'd also, as the ad went on, "change nothing"?
Yesterday she said that McCain would make a better president than Obama.
The day before, she -- an oft-quoted cheerleader for NAFTA during and after the presidency of her husband -- tried to make an issue of Obama's supposed "winking" with the Canadians.
She keeps saying she will be a president who is readyondayone, yet she still doesn't seem ready for the campaign. She's found something of a stride in Ohio, going all negative, all the time. Is that what we have to look forward to in Clinton Redux? A year to get going, then an endless era of nasty, false accusations instead of actual governance?
And now she has her crowd chanting "Yes we will" ??? That sounds an awful lot like the key line of someone else's campaign. If I'm not mistaken, she was especially sensitive to the notion that a candidate not plagiarize her speeches. If I am not mistaken...
I guess I must be a Hillary hater, or maybe a sexist. Or maybe I just don't like utterly disingenuous, revanchist, mean-spirited politicians whgo promise nothing but division and discord. And maybe I don't like the prospect of yet another needless defeat to an empty Republican suit.
The good news--Barack has just congratulated her (after all the nasty s--- she has pulled from SC on) with all the style and grace I've come to expect. I hope people are watching.
