Jewish Seminary Attacked in Jerusalem
JERUSALEM (CNN) -- Several people have been injured Thursday in what Israeli police are calling a "severe terrorist attack" at a Jewish seminary in Jerusalem.
Israelis look at a hole in the roof of a house in Sderot, Israel, which was hit by a rocket on Thursday.
1 of 2 The Associated Press reported at least seven people died in an attack by two people. A police spokesman told CNN one atacker was dead and at least 20 people were injured but he could not confirm other fatalities.
Video from the scene showed a frantic crowd of rescue workers carrying bloodied victims into ambulances. Dozens of police officers were scouring the campus and surrounding streets.
Police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld said: "They opened fire on innocent youngsters studying. A number of students have been killed.
"We are still searching the building for the possibility of a second terrorist still in the buidling."
CNN's Ben Wedeman in Gaza reported celebratory shooting shortly after the attack.
Earlier Thursday, one person was injured when a rocket struck a home near Gaza Thursday, Israeli ambulance officials said.
This just continues the cycle of violence... expect a huge Israeli incursion into Gaza now that intensifies... more attacks... etc.
Update: This was and is not intended as a I/P diary. Everyone has their own very strong views on this, and just turning this tragedy into arguments that get nowhere does nothing.
People were killed today. Because of this people will probably be killed tomorrow. These people today, and probably some of them tomorrow that were and will be killed, probably were and will be innocent.
