One of the most troubling aspects of being a Hillary supporter on kos is the insanely over top comments against her - - the frequent use of "bitch", the attacks on Chelsea (including the repeated replay of McCain's "joke"), the "Denver will burn if he's not nominated" excesses (including undisguised calls to violence), the frequent Lewinsky comments (of course, followed by Shock! at being compared to Ken Starr), etc., et al. And, it's not just the lone poster - - how many times has someone in charge referred to "the story the L.A. Times is working on about Bill"?
Of course, if you're waiting for an Obama leader or front pager to shut down this nonsense . . . you're still waiting.
Well, if these comments are so acceptable to the Obama leaders and the front pagers, let's publicize these comments. Hillary supporters, take action !!! Keep a list of the worst and most egregious and indefensible, make verbatim copies and links - - and distribute your lists.
Send them to your local political columnist - - and the political columnists in upcoming primary and caucus states. Email them to broadcast media, top to bottom, all outlets, including everyone on MSNBC and progressive radio - - Schultz, Maddow, Miller, Olbermann, Mika, etc. etc. Let women's groups and women in the media know each time someone calls Hillary a bitch - - link, cut, paste and email. And, don't forget the superdelegates - - let them know who they're thinking of getting into bed with. Your re line can just be "More over the top attacks on Hillary from Obama supporters".
This could have two desirable results:
(1) It could help Hillary, big time (see today's "monster" ruckus).
(2) If we do this, and it gets traction, maybe the saner, wiser, calmer, more rational Obama supporters will start policing and hiding the untoward comments of their own teammates. (Obviously, there's no shame when Hillary's called "an evil bitch with blood on her hands". Maybe they'll be ashamed if outsiders start seeing and distributing this vile crap.)
It's worth a try, and it's more constructive than arguing with fools.
PS - Front pagers / admins - - if you're not going to enforce the rules about people screwing with tags, why not repeal the rules?
