I'm sorry, but Obama is finished. His candidacy is over and done with. It's not that Mr. Wright hasn't had some valid points regarding the reasons why the US likes to fight destructively for some misconstrued belief of moral superiority, but any reasonably informed individual will know that some 20 years of association with Wright will not play well at the polls in November, or to quote Abraham Lincoln who is reported to have said: "You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time". Mr. Zimmerman has a different take on the matter (LINK)

It's not that Mr. Wright hasn't had some valid points regarding the reasons why the US likes to fight destructively for some misconstrued belief of moral superiority, but any reasonably informed individual will know that some 20 years of association with Wright will not play well with any swing-voter at the polls in November; or to quote Abraham Lincoln who is reported to have said: "You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time". Well, now time passed and now it seems
Everybody's having them dreams.
Everybody sees themselves walkin' around with no one else.
Half of the people can be part right all of the time,
Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time
I think Abraham Lincoln said that.
"I'll let you be in my dreams if I can be in yours,"
I said that.
Also, as I've earlier indicated, dailykos has become the place to be if your business is to to denigrate Hillary. It's obvious that the vast majority of what one might define as reactionary posters, on dailykos, seem to be true representatives of a nation that not only lags the developed world in such things as newborn death rates, but also in mature and progressive reactions to a woman running for the highest office. In Norway, for example, when Gro Harlem Brundtland became prime minister in 1981, she had to endure some of the same sexist scrutnisation which Hillary is currently facing (i.e. the woman is a "witch or a bitch", and has a "bad temper" and tends to sound "shrewish" when "agitated"). You know, in Europe, we are now used to seeing women politicians debating political issues, and take some liberties with the "truth"; which is exactly how male politicians have been operating since the politics of ancient Greece. In 20 or 30 years, one can at least hope that the US may have developed in a similar way to how the rest of developed world has evolved.
Finally, I would guess that any litmus test required in order to check the true progressiveness of any rabid Obama supporter, should incorporate language critical of America. In my experience, it's usually only staunch republicans who take offence in the fact that one might be critical of certain aspects of American society. I, for one, am highly critical of certain aspects of the society I live in. In fact, any progressive minded person will, of course, almost always be far less patriotic and nationalistic than than your average right-winger. Sadly therefore, and based partly on many of the responses made to an earlier diary of mine, I've come to conclude that a majority, it seems, of Mr Obama's supporters on dailykos haven't come out of the closet yet.
