I have often struggled to frame in words, my view of all that has happened in the Bush years, from 9/11 to the present day. I have failed to do so in numerous discussions, diaries etc. So I have essentially thrown in the towel trying to gather all that has transpired, and instead I have turned to the medium of music.
In the last 2 years I have been writing a concept album titled "People of the Post-Artist World" that attempts a capture of this period. It is done through a series of archetype characters. The original intention was not this direction, but that is in fact how it evolved over time. I am now happy to say that the work is completed and out there for the public to hear and dissect. I can't judge whether I have succeeded or not, that part is up to you. If you wish to give it a chance go to the following:

Finally here is a blog with a little more explination here:
Recently I have been asked a number of questions about the meaning of "The People of the Post-Artist World". First and foremost I will answer that yes it is a concept album. It is a risk I have taken to be sure. Most then ask what that meaning or concept is. I am weary to answer this in full as that would take too much from listener interpretation, but I will give some insight. It is a capture of the last 7 to 8 years or so, in this nation, in terms of what I have seen evolve. It is the underlying capture of emotion and subconscious feeling, from the wake of the 9/11 attacks to the present day. Some might say the risk is the work will be too dated, and is without a timeless nature, but I would disagree. It is a capture of an era, and a reflection upon it. If history shows us anything past is prologue. May peace and the power to dream return to the hearts of all humankind!
Thank you for your time,
Jeremy Gilchrist
