All of the Obama cultists on this site may think that Richardson's endorsement means something. Sure, he's a widely respected influential governor that ran a decent second-tier campaign. Sure, he's the first Hispanic governor in the history of the country, and that's a demographic where Obama could really use some help.
But, lets be honest. People of Richardson's stature, portly though they may be, simply aren't substantial enough to matter. In order to win in a general election, Obama will need the endorsements of the largest super delegates. And Bill Richardson doesn't cut it. In order to win in the reddest of red states, Obama needs the endorsements of people that your everyman McDonalds-in-a-Walmart eater/shopper can relate to, both ideologically and midsectionally. McSame's BBQ luncheons proved this.
I believe Hillary, and only Hillary, will be able to win the support of these crucial Superdelegates. I call them Super-Superdelegates, and they matter at least twice as much as the other ones. In conclusion, if there is one thing Sir Mix-a-lot taught us, it's that small people don't matter. And friends, that is a black man that I trust.
*UPDATE*
Now with a Snark tag. Apparently it was either too subtle, or too unfunny. I believe history will judge this to be a funny diary, perhaps even the funniest diary. Ever.
