You'd think that would be self-evident, but apparently it isn't.
With 98% of precincts reporting, CNN.com is showing 1,230,955 votes for Clinton and 1,018,555 votes for Obama.
That's 54.72% Clinton, 45.28% Obama (rounded to two decimals). More to the point, that's a difference of 212,400 votes, which is 9.44% of the voting total.
9.44% is not 10%. It doesn't even round up to 10%.
I think the elementary school teachers of each and every reporter and pundit who says a variation of "a double digit win for Hillary tonight" should retroactively give their former pupil an 'F' in Math.
Maybe if they're all forced to repeat fourth grade they'll stop polluting our airwaves with their effluvia.
