Reverend Jeremiah Wright is a noble and courageous man. He has dedicated his life to justice, peace, and honor. What he said about killing babies (God Damn America!!) is what we all should have said at the time. That we allow this man (a far better person than any of our party's leaders were in those dark darks) to be shit on and smeared is a disgrace.
Reading the things I've been reading here makes me (almost) ashamed to be a Kossack.
This is exactly the kind of person we should be standing up for.
If we don't stand up for him we're letting our candidate down. We need to have Barack's back on this. He can't (for obvious reasons) take on the entire noise machine (including our depraved echoes of it) to defend his friend and pastor by himself. We need to stand up and get behind a man who had the good sense and the passion to criticize a country that was applauding itself for murdering a lot of innocent people.
We need a country full of men like Wright. We don't need a bunch of cowards who won't stand up for the kind of man we should all aspire to be like.
It's High Noon and we're leaving Gary Cooper out there to face a gang of killers by himself.
