Now can somebody please please please explain to me why it's all of a sudden, this week, a big deal that Barack Obama went on Fox New Sunday? He went on Fox just last month, for an interview with Major Garrett after the Wright controversy first broke. That interview was first broadcast on Hannity and Colmes.
It's not just that this is a tempest in a teapot, it's that Kos is pretending that it's somehow an unusual thing for a Democratic progressive Senator to appear on Fox News Sunday. Are they going to continue to bash him? Umm, yes. But that's not why he went on the network. It's not why anyone goes on the network. They go on the network for the same reason every politician goes on every network - to get their message out to potential voters.
Barack Obama didn't "legitimize" Fox News, neither did the dozens of other fine Democrats. It's the millions of voters who tuned in that legitimized the network. If we want them to tune it out, we had better start offering them a better product, and STOP BASHING ALL DEMOCRATS who appear.
Jesus, even Michael Moore was on the O'Reilly Factor back in 2004!
