This will be short. I am an Obama supporter, but these results seem to be very disturbing, The length of time that it is taking to determine the Indiana results, in spite of the polling that indicated that it was to be a slam-dunk for HRC, seems intuitively to indicate that Republican voter suppression tactics (the requirement for government issued ID as a requirement for voting), aided and abetted by the Supreme Court of the United States, has worked to make this race very competitive for Obama. How? below the fold
The HRC voter in Indiana would seem to be less educated, less financially secure, and probably less adept at having the means to secure the government issued ID that is now required in order to vote in Indiana. I am imagining that many potential voters in the HRC voter demographic failed to even show up at the polls because they knew that they lacked the requisite government issued ID. While in the short term, this is probably good for Obama, in the long term, it's bad for the Democrats because it demonstrates that Republican voter suppression tactics work with a certain element of the natural Democratic constituency. This is something that Democrats will have to work on before November. Any thoughts, or does this just seem too far fetched.
