(Cross-posted at MyDD)
That's the front page title today on Hillaryis44. The question mark & change in spelling of God was added by me.
Senator Clinton, please, for the sake of decency, finally, tell that site to change it's name, or, at least, modify the message.
A site caryying your name, claiming to raise money for you, claiming to blog for you, and even calling out for diaries on this site (MyDD) to be recommended by it's members, should not be damning our (hopefully) future First Lady.
The "explanation" for damning Michelle is as follows.
"We knew we needed to respond. We knew we needed to respond in language that Barack and Michelle would understand. Therefore we chose the language of their church and of their pastor. We chose the language Barack and Michelle exposed their daughters to for years. God Damn Michelle Obama."
I am most bothered by that banner headline for 3 reasons.
- That site carries Hillary Clinton's name.
- Yesterday, SOME of the recommended diaries on MyDD were posted by denizens of that site. Are they in agreement with that sentiment? Will they speak out?
- I am proud of Michelle Obama.
Not one person on that site registered a protest over the front page headline. Not one.
Any site that had Obama's name, & claimed to exist solely to promote his candidacy, I would give heck to if they G-d Damned a Clinton. Not to mention the sexual & racial slurs + anti-communist witch hunts that are wont to frequent its striclty-adminstered & controlled pages.
G-d damn Michelle Obama?
No, praise Michelle Obama as a strong woman who is trail-blazing her way to be the 1st African-American First Lady.
& G-d damn the mentality that sees a primary season opponent as the Devil incarnate without any redeeming values.
Many good people in this country believe it takes a Clinton to clean up after a Bush. I believe it takes a Clinton to clean up a site that proudly carries the Clinton name. No one else can, or should, do it.
Senator Clinton, clean up that site (please, please, please)!
