This is going to be a short diary, and I understand the rules. However, I want to make sure this is heard loud and clear.
The Clinton supporters in the audience just gave every superdelegate withholding their vote the exact justification they needed to end this contest on Tuesday.
As I stated last week, by Clinton sending her supporters to the RBC, she made the final fatal flaw of an absolutely horrific campaign.
If the Democratic party wants a repeat of convention fights, they can wait. However, they now see the start of what is the path to a floor fight in Denver is. Harold Ickes just laid it out, and is actually cursing repeatedly on TV. It is a great way to represent the Clinton campaign.
If superdelegates care about this country, if they care about their party, they will end this nonsensical campaign immediately. They can let Republicans laugh and create tension and scorch the earth in the way only a Clinton can.
Harold Ickes is shooting the Clinton campaign in the foot.
If they want a fight, then they can have one. But they are bringing a knife. It is time for the big guns, Al Gore, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi to step in.
If Democrats allow this to continue, they deserve the absolute defeat that they deserve in November. It is time for leadership. There is no more keeping the powder dry.
Superdelegates. Are you ready to lead? Are you ready to unify the party? Or are you ready to see the beginning of a McCain presidency because you fear the Clintons who no longer deserve to lead their a party that they have shown disrespect for continually.
BTW-Congratulations on the circus you have brought on by wavering and unwilling to take decisive action. It sounds all to familiar.
It is in every one of your hand.
This was longer than I thought...feel free to list the undeclared delegates in the comments.
Update [2008-5-31 19:9:27 by justmy2]: And one more thing, any nomination of Hillary Clinton for Vice President will be the exact definition of APPEASEMENT. And I strongly believe Barack Obama is not an appeaser.
