Now, our President is so concerned that Iraqis may lose their freedom in the future that he wants more than fifty permanent bases in Iraq, manned by American soldiers who are immune to Iraqi law.
Iraqi politicians, following the will of the Iraqi citizenry, want American soldiers to leave. But our President is so concerned about freedom for Iraq that he's willing to hold Iraq's foreign reserves hostage to his demand for bases. Because nothing says "freedom" more than being forced to accept a permanent occupying foreign power, against your will.
