This diary will be short and sweet.
I have been an avid supporter of Barack Obama since the Iowa Caucus win. At times, I will be the first to admit, I let my emotions get the best of me, and I may have gone a bit to far in certain comments.
Today, I have sent my first message to Hillary Clinton from the campaign site of Barack Obama. I encourage everyone here to do the same.
My message to Senator Hillary Clinton is below the jump...
Senator Clinton,
Words can not express my sincere appreciation for running a hard fought, and ground breaking campaign for President of the United States of America. Because of you, all of my female family members and friends, young and old, now know there is absolutely nothing they can not achieve if they put their minds to it. They now know the dreams of all Americans, are not the dreams of a chosen few. You are a leader and inspiration to all Americans and citizens of the world.
In life, sometimes everything that we want does not always come to fruition. However, what does not break you, can only make you stronger. Today, you have shown what true strength looks like.
Thank you for taking the first major step to unifying the Democratic party with dignity and grace. Together, we can take back our country, and as you have shown, there is nothing that we can't achieve if we believe and work hard. I have no doubt that when you and Barack Obama work as hard as possible and as a team, a Democrat will enter into the office of the Presidency on January 2009. With your support and help, I am sure your many of the issues you are dedicated to, including universal health care, will be part and parcel to the American experience in the near future.
Divided we fall, united we stand. Today, because of you Senator Clinton, we are one step closer to the change that you, me, and the country can believe in.
Thank you.
While many may believe this is the end, I believe it is actually the beginning of the next chapter in Hillary Clinton's career and her new, independent legacy.
Come back Alegre, come back Armando, come back Jerome, come everyone who decided to boycott and let's become a family again. Life is too short.
Let the healing begin and let's show David Brodaer what Unity '08 really looks like!!!
