This will be short. Al Giodano, the incredibly astute and visionary progenitor of The Field, one of the most important of my "go to" blogs, has sought out greener pastures and will no longer be featured at the "rural votes" blog site.
It seems to shake out like this. Lately, Al had been exerting efforts to organize the "FieldHands" into discernable geographic blocks to facilitate work for Obama. Go HERE if you want to check that out or join. And then...Al vanished. It all went dark...one of the most frightening thing that can happen in the Intertubes. Happily, Al has resurfaced. Unhappily, this appears to be tied to his attempts to organize or to quote the 13 rules for radicals of Saul Alinsky. Al promises to kiss and tell about the journey from censorship to freedom of political thought sometime on Monday.
More after the flip
Apparently, the powers that be were scared/unhappy that Al wrote a hard hitting blogpost on dovetailing Saul Alinsky's rules for radicals and the Obama campaign. (Alinsky? How the fuck does someone censure Alinsky? Sheeesh! I mean Alinsky is extremely dangerous in a totally innocuous fashion. Whatever. Suddenly, the Alinsky post was disappeared...and Al was no longer writing to the Field.
After several days of silence, I have since learned that Al is fine and the The Field has been moved to Narco news. In fact, one can now read the infamous Alinsky post HERE..
Also, those who donated money to "ruralvotes" to send Al to Denver during the convention can seek a reimbursement by sending an email to ombudskoz@ruralvotes.com. (Hat tip to amk for that.) Apparently one needs to specify whether one contributed through Paypal or groundspring.
Sorry this is such a short bit of "housekeeping." I think that the Field is an important blog and that that fans may want to know where to point their browsers for The Field.
