THE MONKEY-SEE,MONKEY-DO PRINCIPLE AS APPLIED TO INTERNATIONAL POLITICAL BEHAVIOR AND MISBEHAVIOR
A simplistic argument supporting Darwinism and Reverse Darwinism.
PREMISES: History repeats itself, trends are cyclical, humans evolved from an ancestor that also produced other primales, humans and other primates therefore share some DNA-influenced societal characteristics.
EVIDENCE: Greek culture thrives, briefly encouraging democratic rule in other societies. Rome misses the point, uses force to conquer, and encourages other lesser powers to try the same things.
The Italian Rennaissance reignites free expression, resulting in great strides by raising the bar for culture and science. Other societies follow suit, but the church almost knocks the bar off the supports, and the world gets things like Calvinism.
FAST FORWARD: The United States of America becomes an example of a great, if imperfect, working democracy. The current administration in America flings poo at the rights of its citizens. Certain other world leaders, observing the big strong world power monkey flinging poo, figure "What the hell. We're just following the dictates of our common-ancestor-shared-primate-DNA-influenced societal characteristics. We're gonna fling some poo, TOO!"
EVIDENCE: North Korea, Myanmar (also known as Burma), Zimbabwe.
CONCLUSION: We're in the midst of a Reverse Darwinism Timeframe.
