I'd just like to spread the word about an upcoming event being held in New York City. I'm on the listserv for the Democratic Leadership for the 21st Century (DL21), a great NYC based progressive organization. They often organize events and forums, and this one is quite the doozy.
Mark Warner, Tom Perriello (VA-5) and Mike McMahon (NY-13). 7 bucks for entry.
Need I say more?
Here's the full set of information.
On Wednesday, July 9, DL21C's Eye on '08 Series continues with an address by Mark Warner, the former Governor of Virginia and current candidate for US Senate. Governor Warner will speak about Virginia's importance as a swing state in the Presidential race, his vision for the Senate, his decision not to pursue a spot on the 2008 national ticket, and much more.
Joining us earlier in the evening will be two Congressional candidates from red-to-blue, swing districts: NYC's Michael McMahon, who is running for Vito Fossella's open Staten Island seat, and Tom Perriello, who is challenging Virgil Goode in Virginia (Charlottesville/central VA). DL21C will be heading out to help these and other campaigns this fall, so it's a great chance to meet the candidates one-on-one!
See you Wednesday night!
